And when we waste food, we also end up wasting all of the inputs like water and energy that were used to grow, process, and distribute that food, which results in unnecessary greenhouse gas emissions. There’s no silver bullet solution to the food waste challenge, but the change we need can be found in individual action, no matter how big or small.
